The No Budget film has to compete in the marketplace with films with hundred million dollar budgets, that spend more on mascara than our entire budget. In the end, it ultimately boils down to a good story and good characters and maybe a little imagination.
The No Budget film has far greater freedom than the latest Hollywood Spectacle. By far. There is no army of accountants and “executive producers” telling the film-maker what will and won’t work.
So the filmmaker can pursue themes and narrative technique with the freedom of the real artist, unhindered by accountants.
